For me, listening, looking, questioning, analyzing, organizing, thinking ahead and communicating are crucial steps in every design process. The focus is on the individual needs and emotions of the people for whom and with whom I design together. The goal of my work is less the design of concrete artifacts. For me, design means much more the creation of circumstances and adaptable processes in which long-term and cooperative design can be achieved.

Insights into design empowerment by analyzing the application of design methods in a co-design process to manage type 1 diabetes.

Participatory design and co-design processes offer me the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of a person. Together with a co-designer, I deal with your individual topic and design concerns. Various design methods are used. Both the implementation of the methods by the co-designer and the interpretation of the results enable an intensive examination of the topic, but also provide information about her personal, creative expression. In the course of the process, in the spirit of design empowerment, she is enabled to address her own concerns herself. Reflecting on this overall process and design methods takes a look at how design empowerment can be designed.
