Pictures tell stories. I already knew this in my childhood when I proudly announced that I wanted to be an illustrator one day. Fifteen years later, I can finally call myself an illustrator. In my pictures I live out the imaginative side of me. I prefer to work on paper – with watercolor, gouache and colored pencil.

Of small and large gestures

A picture book about the meaning of gestures.

It’s not always easy to find the right words. But when even words fail, what else can you do? We often forget that there is a language that can do without words. It is all-encompassing and intercultural. They are the gestures that accompany us every day. They give us the chance to show our affection for other people. A look at history shows that it is precisely in these moments that people surpass themselves and achieve amazing things – regardless of whether you are a simple street artist or the Emperor of Babylon. Ultimately, it’s neither their size nor how expensive they are that matters. All that matters is that we try. Because at the end of the day, actions speak louder than words.
