Hi! I’m Michelle, I laugh a lot, like to talk and often work on many projects at the same time because I’m enthusiastic about almost everything. The recurring theme of my design is interpersonal relationships, atmosphere and storytelling, which can be combined – not only, but especially – in the form of animations. I hope to bring people closer together and create a sense of community.

I’d brought you flowers, but i forgot them on the subway

An animated short film that observes and captures the small human moments of everyday life.

Strangers exchanging glances. Conversations with friends. Muffled giggles. To miss the train. Coming back late from work. Brush shoulders – accidentally. Know where you are going. So you don’t even know where you’re going.
Although urban settings often have an anonymous and cold reputation, they are full of stories, fates, feelings – people.
My animated short film explores the phenomenon of “people-watching” in order to create emotional closeness where distance would otherwise be maintained.
Thanks to a reduced style, the moments depicted take on an impressionistic fleeting quality. Through their mere silhouettes, the people represent an interchangeable anonymity.
The temporary journey together offers observational insights into small gestures, looks, conversations and a narrative that tells between the lines. It’s about humanity, interpersonal relationships, empathy and the beauty of simplicity.
