People create because they cannot do otherwise. Ultimately, this is the reason I study design and want to learn more about it. I understand design as a process. A process that attempts to bring order to chaos. What fascinates me is that there are universal basic principles that can be applied to all areas of life. What defines me as a designer? Someone once described my way of working as solution-oriented. I’ll take care of that.
TRIO
A durable, multifunctional vessel system that combines dinnerware, storage and serving vessels in one stackable set.
“Longevity is sustainable!” That is the quintessence of the practical semester that I completed last year at Margaretenhöhe Ceramics, a manufacturing company that mass-produces high-quality consumer ceramics. Building on this basis, I developed a multifunctional three-by-three-part vascular system in cooperation with the people there. A fusion of dinnerware, storage and serving vessels. Why do people usually store cheese in plastic boxes but only reluctantly serve it in them? And why can’t lids be serious plates? TRIO has the quality to store content and present it stylishly at the same time. The system consists of independent elements, can be combined in any way and has the potential to survive for generations.
