Studying design gave me the space to try things out and grow through the variety of projects. Here I was able to expand my creative boundaries while transforming my personal interests into meaningful designs. For me, design is a way to pay more attention to relevant issues and hopefully initiate positive changes. It was a journey of discovery that allowed me to merge my passions.

Dementia & You

A bookazine that gives young relatives an age-appropriate insight into the disease dementia and offers support for those affected.

“Dementia & You” examines the complex topic of dementia from the perspective of young people who care for them by placing a special focus on the experiences of young people in order to promote empathy and understanding. Textiles become a medium of expression to represent the various facets of the disease – from harmonious patterns to unraveling threads. The metaphor of a woven cloth runs like a red thread through the bookazine, which not only provides information about dementia, but also creates space for young people’s thoughts and reflections. Expert contributions are also used to offer well-founded and complex perspectives. The bookazine is intended to open doors to individual stories, contribute to identification and encourage people to actively engage with the topic.
