Design shapes the world. This comes with a responsibility and the task of constantly questioning yourself critically as a designer. Changes, change and crises require a constant redesign of our living environments, and at the same time design is the driving force behind change, renewal and innovation. At the end of my studies, the only question left to me is: How do I want to shape the world in the future?

PicMat[e]

A multi-shaped picnic mat for joyful picnic experiences.

Picnic — an outdoor meal. That sounds simple. But there is more to it. A picnic is free time, enjoyment and enjoying nature, the food you bring with you and the social gathering. A picnic means joy, well-being and quality of life. This project is dedicated to the picnic as a joyful and at the same time extremely individual leisure activity. A picnic can be simple or fancy. Sociable or withdrawn. Spontaneous or organized. But whether it’s a spontaneous picnic with friends in the park, a picnic outing with the family on Sunday or a picnic event with a group of like-minded people, a picnic is almost always the experience of joyful moments outside of everyday life.
