The following realization led me to this course of study: The quality of a drawing is determined just as much by its design as by its technique. Depending on how consciously you draw each line, the better. Drawing lives from the moments you experience, and that flows into the line, as do color theory and construction exercises. There was a lot of that in my studies, but life has more to offer, right?!
Cannibal Panda - A dark fantasy drama as a manga
The universe of this manga serves as a sandbox to tell a story while finding the boundaries of this world.
Life is about getting back up again and again, but the strongest knock-out always comes from those closest to you. I want to transfer this idea into my story. I tell a story about demon hunters who face real monsters and threats to survival, unclouded by fear and doubt. However, what actually pulls the rug out from under our protagonists is themselves. With my bachelor’s degree, I’m taking the first step on a long journey. I introduce the predecessors of the main characters, so you are thrown straight into the dark world and its conflict-filled drama. For the first chapter I provide character designs and further insights into my notes and my worldbuilding.
