For me, design thrives on curiosity for new and unconventional solutions, on exchanging ideas with others and on leaving your own comfort zone from time to time.
As designers, we have the opportunity to have a say in who is given visibility and which images are reproduced. I see this as a great responsibility, but also an opportunity to help shape the world in a positive way.

LIFE AIN’T FAIR

A board game that encourages you to reflect on your own privileges.

Many people still have to struggle with structural discrimination and disadvantage. It’s easy to forget how privileged you may be in everyday life.

In the form of a board game, I would like to encourage reflection on one’s own position in society in an interactive way and create more empathy for fellow human beings. The aim is to increase the visibility of marginalized groups and minorities and to create a space for open exchange. Just like in real life, it’s all about luck. What position were you born in and how many obstacles are placed in your way? Who will reach the goal first, and how fair was that?
